Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on dedicated routes between Boston and regional distribution centers
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Complete accurate pre/post-trip inspections and documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to maintain optimal delivery schedules
- Ensure secure handling of specialized freight requiring temperature control
- Maintain electronic logs and communicate delivery status in real-time
- Participate in quarterly safety training and equipment maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience with dedicated route background
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and fleet management systems
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility for overnight stays and regional travel
- Excellent time management and communication skills
