Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on dedicated regional routes
- Maintain meticulous vehicle inspections and DOT compliance documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Ensure secure transport of temperature-sensitive and high-value cargo
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and customer service standards
- Utilize electronic logging systems for accurate mileage and hours tracking
- Implement defensive driving techniques in all weather conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- HAZMAT certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong familiarity with Baltimore metro area and East Coast corridors
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Pass pre-employment background and drug screening
