Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for long-distance freight transport across designated routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records (ELD compliance)
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips to ensure safety and compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch for route optimization and delivery scheduling
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate proactively with clients and dispatch regarding shipment status
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with electronic logging
- Flexible schedule including overnight travel and weekends
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
