Responsibilities
- Operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on dedicated long-haul routes with predictable schedules
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining strict adherence to DOT regulations
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs accurately
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route optimization and communication
- Implement advanced safety protocols including secure cargo handling and emergency procedures
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading and delivery documentation
- Maintain pristine vehicle condition through regular maintenance reporting
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Exceptional time management and route planning skills
- Strong communication abilities for client and team coordination
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips (4-5 days per week)
- Willingness to obtain hazardous materials endorsement (training provided)
