Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial truck on dedicated routes between New York and Midwestern distribution centers
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and document maintenance reports for assigned vehicle
- Manage electronic logging systems (ELD) and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and address potential delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean MVR record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Proficiency in using ELD systems and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for unloading assistance when required
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
