Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractors on dedicated lanes between Chicago and regional distribution centers
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and FMCSA compliance standards
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance requirements
- Deliver freight on schedule with zero-touch freight handling
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and route optimization via telematics
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with ELD systems and route navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexible schedule including overnight stays
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
