Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers on dedicated OTR routes delivering freight across the Northeast US
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments using appropriate equipment while maintaining cargo security
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Utilize telematics systems for route optimization and real-time tracking
- Complete electronic logs (ELD) and documentation accurately and punctually
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR driving experience with dedicated route background
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet tight delivery schedules
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility for overnight stays during multi-day routes
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (Hazmat endorsement preferred)
