Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) safely and efficiently over long distances (OTR).
- Ensure timely delivery of cargo while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues accurately.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and paperwork compliance.
- Foster positive, professional relationships with shippers and receivers at each stop.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-down techniques.
- Adhere to company policies regarding fuel management, route planning, and customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as an OTR driver.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and DOT regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be available for emergency dispatch when necessary.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks.
