Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on long-haul routes across designated regions
- Maintain meticulous logs and comply with all FMCSA regulations (HOS, inspections)
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper equipment handling protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding route status and delays
- Represent Swift Transportation professionally at customer facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Flexibility for irregular schedules and overnight stays
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Strong time management and navigation skills
