Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks on local and regional delivery routes within the Detroit metro area and surrounding regions.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring all packages are handled with care and placed in the designated areas.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and the public at delivery sites.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- One year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred (new grads welcome with sponsorships).
- Excellent driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Strong communication skills and ability to read maps or use GPS navigation systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and pass a drug screen.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
