Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/reefer) for regional routes within Texas
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and all local/state traffic laws
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Document all deliveries and maintain electronic logging system compliance
- Communicate effectively with customers and warehouse personnel
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Houston metro area and Texas highway systems
- Basic understanding of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
