Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods to and from distribution centers and customer sites within the Los Angeles area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring secure placement to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any routing issues.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local streets, highways, and traffic patterns in Los Angeles County.
- Basic computer skills for logging duties and communication.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
