Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for local and regional deliveries within Washington DC and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork for daily settlements
- Inspect vehicles before/after routes to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route planning and timely pickups
- Handle specialized cargo including medical supplies, construction materials, and consumer goods
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and local traffic laws in metropolitan environments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable truck driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Familiarity with DC metropolitan area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Strong time management skills for meeting daily delivery deadlines
