Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial customers within the designated route and time window.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain customer signatures or proof of delivery via mobile devices.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Utilize handheld scanners and navigation apps to optimize routes and track package status in real-time.
- Provide outstanding customer service and handle packages with care to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Report any delivery issues or vehicle maintenance needs immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or serious moving violations).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of New York City geography and traffic patterns.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic proficiency with smartphone technology and GPS navigation systems.
