Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and documents to Sacramento businesses and residences
- Optimize daily routes using GPS technology for maximum efficiency and on-time delivery
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain electronic signatures for proof of service
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-shift and report maintenance needs to fleet management
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and recipients
- Handle fragile, high-value, or temperature-sensitive packages according to protocols
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies without exception
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with verifiable references
- Ability to lift packages up to 70 pounds regularly and operate loading equipment
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and delivery tracking software
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills for route adjustments
- Pass background check, drug screening, and physical assessment
- Knowledge of Sacramento metro area streets and traffic patterns
- Professional communication skills with diverse clientele
