Responsibilities
- Safe & Timely Delivery: Ensure packages are delivered to the correct location on time, every time, while maintaining the highest standards of safety.
- Customer Service: Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service to our clients, including proper package handling and receipt signatures.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is clean, fueled, and in safe working condition.
- Route Navigation: Utilize GPS and route planning software to optimize delivery paths and manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- Package Handling: Handle packages of various sizes with care, ensuring they are secure during transit.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary delivery logs, receipts, and electronic proof of delivery (POD) paperwork.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C Driver's License (Class B preferred but not required for some positions).
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major infractions or DUIs in the past 3-5 years.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50-70 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Technology: Comfortable using handheld scanners and mobile apps for navigation and delivery confirmation.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
