Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver time-sensitive packages across Jacksonville and surrounding areas
- Verify shipment details and maintain accurate delivery records via mobile scanning system
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation software to ensure timely arrivals
- Handle fragile or temperature-sensitive packages with specialized care protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions and route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent delivery background
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and push/pull heavy carts
- Proficiency with smartphone apps for navigation and package tracking
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery windows
- Basic knowledge of Jacksonville streets and surrounding communities
- Pass background check and drug screening (DOT compliant)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
