Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and documents to businesses and residences across Indianapolis metro area
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals while minimizing fuel consumption
- Verify package contents and obtain proper signatures for high-value or confidential shipments
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and report any discrepancies or customer concerns immediately
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs to prevent service disruptions
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company delivery standards
- Assist with loading/unloading operations at warehouse and client locations
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with delivery focus
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight delivery windows
- Professional communication skills for client interactions
- Familiarity with Indianapolis neighborhoods and major roadways
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
