Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and documents to designated locations within NYC boroughs
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures
- Inspect vehicles daily for safety compliance and report maintenance needs
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status
- Handle special delivery requests with professionalism and urgency
- Adhere strictly to NYC traffic laws and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift packages up to 60 pounds repeatedly
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic tech
- Strong knowledge of NYC streets, bridges, and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Background check and drug test clearance required
