Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages, documents, and medical supplies to designated locations across Houston
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain recipient signatures for high-value shipments
- Optimize daily routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time deliveries
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading shipments at warehouse facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience (delivery or courier preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate manual transmission vehicles
- Strong knowledge of Houston streets and surrounding areas
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery software
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
