Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, documents, and medical supplies throughout Sacramento County
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and maximize fuel efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service with professional communication at every delivery point
- Adhere to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
- Assist with loading/unloading shipments and warehouse operations as needed
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience with commercial vehicle operation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Strong time management skills and punctuality consciousness
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
- Knowledge of Sacramento streets and surrounding areas preferred
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge a plus
