Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and documents using company vehicles while adhering to traffic laws
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain recipient signatures for all shipments
- Optimize daily routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries across San Antonio
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Communicate delivery status and delays to dispatch team via mobile app
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and drop-offs
- Securely handle high-value or temperature-sensitive shipments as required
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience or equivalent training
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly and operate loading equipment
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Strong time-management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Pass background check and drug screening per company policy
- Knowledge of San Antonio metropolitan area geography preferred
