Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and documents throughout Sacramento metropolitan area using company-provided vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems for all shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service through professional communication with recipients
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency and on-time performance
- Handle fragile or high-value packages with specialized care protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges proactively
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and route optimization software
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Commercial vehicle safety certification preferred
