Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vans safely and efficiently on designated routes in Oakland and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks and dollies, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing items for transport.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain electronic signatures from recipients for proof of delivery.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior, including routine safety inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to address routing changes or delivery issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of Oakland and the greater Bay Area roadways.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic proficiency with handheld delivery devices or mobile technology.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
