Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to residential and commercial destinations within the Miami metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, dollies, and proper lifting techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and digital delivery receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service at every delivery stop, ensuring signatures and approvals are obtained.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage a daily delivery schedule efficiently.
- Basic proficiency with handheld delivery scanners and mobile technology.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
