Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently throughout the Chicago area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (E-Logs) and stay updated on traffic conditions and weather alerts.
- Adhere to all safety policies, traffic laws, and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and status updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
