Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers over various road types and terrains.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Navigate efficiently to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status and route changes.
Qualifications
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Basic English reading and comprehension skills.
- Willingness to relocate to the Columbus, OH area for this position.
