Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) and trailers to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including Hours of Service (HOS) and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
