Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload freight accurately and securely using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and complete all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and time management schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and safety personnel regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and keep the cab and cargo area clean.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) valid for at least 2 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement standards and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a professional attitude.
