Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, efficient, and legal manner at all times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper equipment such as straps, chains, and dock boards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Navigate complex delivery routes in the Bay Area and surrounding regions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Air brake endorsement (B) is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT medical card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement procedures.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
