Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks on various routes across New York and surrounding states.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring secure placement to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT medical card and acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of local New York roadways and traffic patterns.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required.
