Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks to transport freight across the Midwest and beyond.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logbooks in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickup and delivery, resolving any issues professionally.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company speed limits, and driving safety policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) on file.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and pre-trip inspection procedures.
- Basic computer skills for log entry and communication.
- Willingness to obtain Hazmat or Tanker endorsements if required for the role.
