Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks over various road conditions in the Miami and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and hand trucks, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and inspection reports.
- Adhere to all FMCSA and DOT regulations, including hours of service and safety protocols.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a similar role.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- U.S. Citizenship or valid legal work authorization.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally during loading/unloading.
