Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and timely manner to deliver cargo across the Southwest region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logbook (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) laws.
- Secure cargo properly, ensuring weight distribution and load safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other stakeholders regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Uphold Apex Transport Solutions' high standards of safety and customer service excellence.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT medical card and negative drug screen results.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to problem-solve on the road.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and occasional weekends.
