Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods to designated destinations in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients and verifying delivery details.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding traffic conditions, delivery delays, or emergencies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language proficiently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as business needs require.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
