Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and proper functioning of all equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and navigate complex routes and logistics.
- Provide exceptional customer service at shipper and receiver locations.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to the fleet manager.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (Otr or Regional).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, cargo securement, and trip planning.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor.
