Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Commercial Vehicles: Drive trucks in a safe, courteous, and professional manner on highways and local routes.
- Precise Cargo Handling: Load, secure, and unload cargo according to safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is road-ready.
- Route Planning: Adhere to assigned routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of delivery receipts, logs, and mileage.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel at each stop.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws strictly.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License: Must hold a current and valid commercial driver's license.
- Driving Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Clean MVR Record: No major violations, DUIs, or accidents within the last 3 years.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively via radio and with the public.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overnight shifts if required.
- Vehicle Knowledge: Basic understanding of diesel engines and truck maintenance.
