Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Ensure timely delivery of cargo by planning routes and managing time effectively.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe working condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo safety during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the vehicle at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of road regulations and cargo handling procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
