Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including FMCSA.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads properly.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT medical card (Medical Examiner's Certificate) is mandatory.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
