Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and secure cargo safely to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate and timely logs (ELD) and documentation.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) valid for at least 2 months.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUI or reckless driving convictions in the last 7 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to cross state lines and adhere to varying traffic laws.
