Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, timely, and legal manner to deliver freight.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance regulations to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and logs.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Card and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements (if applicable).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging and reporting.
