Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in strict compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity and safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely using appropriate equipment, such as dock dollys and tarps.
- Maintain accurate records, including electronic logging device (ELD) logs and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any logistical issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work varying schedules and adapt to changing delivery routes.
