Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on highways and local delivery routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and secure cargo using appropriate straps, chains, and tie-downs.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Deliver exceptional customer service at pickup and delivery locations.
- Keep the truck clean and maintain a professional image at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Strong understanding of DOT hours of service regulations.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo manually when necessary.
- Reliable personal transportation for commuting to and from the terminal.
