Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs (DVIR) and cargo documentation.
- Load and secure cargo safely to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) meeting company standards.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
