Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on regional and long-haul routes within New Mexico and surrounding states.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Adhere to all FMCSA and DOT regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) and electronic logging device (ELD) requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs and cargo documentation.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling and weight distribution.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential route issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement procedures and weight limits.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic logging and communication tools.
