Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and legally in strict accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, utilizing proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or willingness to obtain).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
