Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on designated delivery routes throughout San Jose.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks, adhering to weight limits and securement protocols.
- Interact professionally with customers to handle deliveries, receipts, and returns.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks (tires, fluids) and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks while on duty.
- Strong knowledge of San Jose roadways, traffic patterns, and local geography.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional appearance.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
