Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver cargo to designated addresses in the San Diego area.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and resolving delivery issues on the spot.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including electronic logging devices (ELD), mileage, and delivery times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Clear and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Strong understanding of geographic routes within San Diego County.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork management.
