Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated customer locations along an assigned route.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo, verifying inventory and ensuring proper handling of fragile or hazardous materials.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery points, handling payments and maintaining a positive brand image.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and delivery records, ensuring full compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure accident-free driving.
- Manage time efficiently to ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining a professional appearance.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial or delivery role.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and inventory management systems.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional overtime.
