Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations within the region.
- Load and unload cargo using proper safety equipment, chains, and straps.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and ensure full DOT compliance.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Interact professionally with customers and handle billing inquiries courteously.
- Keep the truck cab and surrounding area clean and organized at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) or willing to obtain one.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
